Croatia tops: Safest country in the EU

According to Eurostat data from 2023, Croatia stands out as the safest country within the European Union. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Davor Božinović, shared this information via the social network X.

According to the latest Eurostat data, Croatia is the safest country in the European Union. Only 1.2% of people at risk of poverty reported crime and violence in their neighborhood. This percentage is the lowest in the EU, and among those not at risk of poverty, this number is 1.5%. In comparison, the EU average is as high as 10%.

These results confirm the high level of security that Croatia offers its citizens, as well as the success of the country’s security policies.
